Two Point Studios and SEGA have released a new expansion for Two Point Museum titled Arty-Facts. This downloadable content shifts the management focus toward fine art, allowing players to commission installations, collect exhibits, and manage creative galleries within Two Point County.
A primary addition to the gameplay is the Art Expert, a new staff type that works within a dedicated Studio Room to create original art pieces. These works are produced using a layered system where players customise the final result by selecting specific mediums and experts with suitable traits. To further their creative research, curators can send their staff to a new expedition map found within Zara Fitzpocket’s sketchbook, where experts learn to evoke different emotions through their work.
The expansion introduces the Undee Docks as a fresh museum location and includes over 27 art exhibits. Many of these pieces are parodies of real world historical works, such as Two Point Gothic, which features the character Gubbins in a version of American Gothic. Other inclusions are The Persistence of Dairy, a pizza themed take on Dali’s The Persistence of Memory, and Box of Truffle Pigs, which reimagines Andy Warhol’s Monroe portraits with boars. Along with the expansion, a launch trailer has been released to showcase these new additions.
Beyond static frames, the DLC incorporates five interactive art displays. These include Performance Arts and the Sketch Show, the latter of which is a monochrome installation designed to evoke the style of music videos from the 1980s. The update also provides new themed items for museum gift shops and cafes, as well as a variety of new decorations.
