GIANTS Software has officially launched Farming Simulator 26 on the Nintendo Switch, in addition to iOS and Android platforms. This newest addition to the farming simulation franchise builds upon the series’ traditional relaxed gameplay by introducing two new map environments alongside a structured reward system.
A key feature of this instalment is the implementation of seasonal and weekly challenges designed to reward players for their agricultural efforts. These objectives range from basic tasks like sowing, harvesting, and cultivating fields, to more involved ecosystem activities. For example, farmers can transport their harvested wheat to a grain mill to facilitate flour production for the local town.
The title seeks to provide a variety of opportunity for virtual farmers on portable devices, offering 15 distinct crops and the ability to raise farm animals, which now includes baby animals. Players can utilise more than 120 digitised pieces of machinery sourced from major real world manufacturers. Included in the roster are brands such as Case IH, CLAAS, DEUTZ-FAHR, Fendt, John Deere, KRONE, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, and Valtra.
Gameplay is split across diverse European and North American environments, where players can engage with new production chains and utilise heavy trucks for transporting agricultural goods. To ensure the experience remains accessible to both new and returning players, the developer has also integrated improved in game tutorials and GPS enabled machinery.
