Marking the one year anniversary of their launch of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, their first title, French independent developer Sandfall Interactive has shared several updates regarding the game’s commercial performance and new content for the community.
A new game update is now available across all platforms. This minor patch introduces anniversary-themed haircuts for all playable characters, which players can acquire by visiting Gestral merchants within the game world. The update also includes various minor bug fixes and general enhancements.
In terms of new creative releases, Art Director Nicholas Maxson-Francombe has produced commemorative anniversary artwork. Fans are able to purchase physical prints of this piece through the IGN Store. Additionally, Sandfall Interactive has collaborated with digital artists @comickergirl, @IrunoArt, and @bugyakis to provide free downloadable community emotes via the game’s official website.
The anniversary celebrations also extend to physical merchandise and digital sales. New apparel collaborations have been announced with brands Orcival and Le Béret Français. For those playing on PC, a 20 percent discount is currently available on Steam as part of a weekend deal that concludes on 27 April 2026.
Creative Director Guillaume Broche shared his thoughts on the project’s reception and the support received from the community over the last twelve months:
Since launch, we’ve been blown away by the way fans have reacted to our game. Every day has felt like a dream for us, and we owe to all our players a lifetime of thank you. You made this year unforgettable.
