Square Enix has officially released its latest mobile title, Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, for iOS and Android devices. This 3v3 team boss battle game marks a departure from previous entries in the series by placing iconic Final Fantasy warriors in a modern day Tokyo setting. The game features cel-shaded graphics, full Japanese voice acting, and various illustrations provided by a range of different creators.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy focuses on team based combat against large scale bosses. Beyond the primary battle mechanics, players can access “short episodes” that depict the daily lives of the summoned warriors in their new urban environment. The customisation and progression systems are supported by ability illustrations that showcase the unique skills of each character.
A series of limited time events and rewards are currently active to mark the game’s debut. Players who have participated in the pre-registration period or join during the launch window can access specific incentives:
- Pre-Registration Login Bonus: Players who log in for a total of seven days before 11.59 PM on 24 April 2026 will receive rewards equivalent to 40 Ability Draw pulls. This includes 20 Draw Tickets and 3000 MogPay Points.
- Legacy Content: The login event also provides eight background music tracks from previous Dissidia titles and five Character Tickets used to unlock specific fighters.
To accompany the release, the Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy original soundtrack has been made available. The score is led by main composer Takafumi Imamura, known for his work on the Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI sound teams. The soundtrack includes a mix of entirely new compositions alongside reimagined arrangements of classic tracks from across the history of the franchise.
