XD Games has unveiled a first look preview of Heartopia, a new life simulation title focused on customisation and relaxation, scheduled to launch worldwide on PC and mobile in 2026.
Players take on the role of a town developer guided by a mysterious Star Spirit, settling on a peaceful island where they can design their own home, decorate with customised furniture, and style their character with colourful outfits. The game also offers seamless support for user generated content, encouraging players to create and share their own designs.
Six core hobbies are at the centre of the experience: Fishing, Gardening, Cat Care, Bug Catching, Birdwatching, and Cooking. As players explore the open world, they can expand their encyclopedia and improve the rewards gained from each pastime.
A new gameplay trailer, styled as a vlog, provides a look at the game’s atmosphere. The video shows the player heading out with an umbrella on a rainy day to browse shops, cook a meal with friends, and spend time with their pets.
Heartopia will be available to try at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 from 25 to 28 September. Events at the booth will include a cosplay contest with cash prizes and a raffle featuring official Heartopia plush toys.
