GIANTS Software has unveiled Kinlaig, a new map arriving with Farming Simulator 25: Highlands Fishing on 4 November 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Set across the Scottish Highlands, Kinlaig features rugged coastlines, a monumental bridge, open waters, and architecture that nods to regional heritage, including traditional brick buildings and a rebuildable castle ruin. A newly released trailer (available to the left) spotlights the map’s mix of old and new, with a fishing port, a steam locomotive, and modern machinery framing the setting.
Alongside its scenery, Kinlaig introduces aquaculture to the series. Players can try casual shoreline fishing after purchasing a rod from the local dealership and casting into lakes, rivers, or the open ocean. For a deeper dive, sea-based fish farming adds breeding facilities, offshore aquafarms, feed production, and boat transport, expanding the usual loop of agriculture, animal husbandry, and forestry.
