Following an earlier release on other platforms, Square Enix has finally brought Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven digitally on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC via the Microsoft Store, complete with Xbox Play Anywhere support. A limited-time 30 percent launch discount is available from now through 8 October 2025, and a free demo can be downloaded now with save data carrying over to the full game.
Revenge of the Seven is a ground-up remake and standalone story that follows an empire across multiple generations as it confronts the threat of the Seven Heroes. The Free-form Scenario system returns, allowing player choices to shape the narrative and determine who inherits the imperial throne with each succession.
Developed by the team behind the 2020 remake Trials of Mana, the release features modern visuals, reworked strategic gameplay and other quality updates aimed at both newcomers and long-time SaGa fans. Players can switch between the classic soundtrack and a newly arranged score, and multiple difficulty options can be adjusted at any time.
