Blizzard Entertainment has expanded Hearthstone with the release of its latest Mini-Set, Heroes of StarCraft. Marking a departure from previous sets, this release features 49 new cards instead of the usual 38, making it the largest Mini-Set in the game’s history. The Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set introduces four Legendary cards, one Epic card, 20 Rare cards, and 24 Common cards. Additionally, a unique non-faction neutral card, Grunty, has been included.
The Mini-Set is divided among the three iconic StarCraft factions—Zerg, Protoss, and Terrans—each represented by a Legendary Hero card and five multi-class cards. Players can also explore three faction-specific cards for each class associated with their chosen faction.
From 22 January to 11 February 2025, players can participate in a special event by choosing one of three Event Tracks to complete. Rewards include 13 packs (5 Perils in Paradise packs and 8 The Great Dark Beyond packs) and a faction-specific Hero Skin.
On 24 January at 5:00 A.M. AEDT, a crossover showmatch will see Hearthstone players TrumpSC and Day9 competing in a Heroes of StarCraft showcase. The event will be cast by Tasteless and Artosis. Viewers can earn rewards, including 1 The Great Dark Beyond pack and 1 Golden The Great Dark Beyond pack, by watching the event live on Twitch, provided their accounts are linked to Battle.net.
