Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that the SILENT HILL 2 remake has surpassed 1 million combined physical and digital sales just one week after its October 8 launch. Developed by Bloober Team, this is a remake of the iconic 2001 horror game, originally released for the PlayStation 2, which is now available on the PlayStation 5 and the PC.
In the SILENT HILL 2 remake, players step into the role of James Sunderland, who returns to the fog-shrouded town of Silent Hill to confront the grief, guilt, and existential dread tied to the memory of his late wife, Mary. The remake seeks to offer expanded exploration, an over-the-shoulder camera view, a revamped combat system, and additional cut-scenes.
While planned to be released earlier, due to illness, expect my comprehensive review of the game to come this weekend.
