Fall in Love with Everything On Valentine’s Day 2025: Date Everything! Delayed

The day of love—Valentine’s Day—will become the day that gamers around the world should expect to finally be able to date anthropomorphic household items. Team17 Digital and Los Angeles-based developer Sassy Chap Games have announced that Date Everything!, their quirky sandbox dating simulator, will be delayed, and now planned to release on 14 February 2025 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The development team claims that the game is content complete, but are aiming to implement some further polish and testing into the game.

The release date was announced in the “State of Build” trailer, where Lead Designer Ray Chase provided an update on the game’s development, showcasing new characters and discussing some unexpected discoveries made along the way. Date Everything! sets out to allow players to engage in romantic interactions with everyday objects, from laundry baskets to even the air, using the game’s “Dateviator” glasses.

The game will feature 100 fully voiced characters – which may seem like a lot until you realise the development studio is helmed by professional English voice actors, each offering multiple endings through branching dialogue options. Players can explore a 3D overworld that changes based on their in-game decisions, with over 1.5 million words, 70,000 voice lines, and 11,000 hand-drawn images planned to contribute to the experience. The game also includes more than 4 hours of music, with individual themes for each character.

A notable voice cast adds to the game’s appeal, featuring performances from Felicia Day (Supernatural, The Magicians), Laura Bailey (Critical Role, The Last of Us), and Ben Starr (Final Fantasy XVI), among others.
