The second major post-launch update for Zenless Zone Zero has been rolled out by HoYoverse. Version 1.2: Tour de Inferno is now live on all servers, bringing a range of new features and content to the live service game. Players will now be able to explore the desolate Outer Ring of New Eridu, accompanied by members of the Sons of Calydon faction. The update promises high-speed motorcycle rides through the outskirts and introduces several system updates to enhance gameplay, including a new arcade game, optimisations to TV mode, and adjustments to the time and stamina systems.
The Outer Ring, a remote area on the outskirts of New Eridu, is rich in fuel resources and frequently becomes a site of conflict. In this update, players will team up with Caesar, Burnice, and other members of the Sons of Calydon to confront their rivals, The Vanquishers, led by the formidable Overlord Pompey. Players will also have the chance to unlock Caesar and Burnice, two newly introduced S-Rank agents, through their respective banners. Caesar, known for her defensive abilities, and Burnice, specialising in fire-based attacks, bring powerful new strategies to the battlefield.
In addition to the new characters, the update introduces “Bizarre Brigade”, an arcade game available at Godfinger. This survival shooting roguelike allows players to unlock characters and face various challenges. The update also adds the Investigator Training Course at HIA, providing players with opportunities to improve their combat skills and level up characters faster. Another addition is the S-Rank Bangboo Red Moccus, who will join the battle equipped with a customised Bangboo motorcycle.
Several quality-of-life improvements are also part of Version 1.2. Players can now automatically gather Observation Data and rewards on the TV board through the AI assistant FAIRY, while new animation improvements and a more fluid experience in Chapter 4 are expected to enhance the overall gameplay. A new Backup Battery Charge feature has been added to give players extra stamina to help them progress further. Zenless Zone Zero is available for download on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android platforms as a free-to-play gacha-supported urban fantasy ARPG.
