Square Enix has released a demo for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven, a full HD remake of the classic RPG that first released in Japan during 1993. The demo is available on all supported platforms, leading to the game’s official release on 25 October 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
The new demo allows players to step into the role of Emperor Leon and his second son, Prince Gerard, as they embark on a multi-generational quest against the Seven Heroes—once revered, but now seeking revenge. The demo concludes with a climactic battle against Kzinssie, one of the Seven Heroes. Players can transfer their save data from the demo to the full game upon its release.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven seeks to offer players a blend of classic and modern elements. In this ground-up remake, players will enjoy enhanced visuals, strategic gameplay improvements, and new content developed by the team behind the Trials of Mana remake. The remake also offers dual-soundtrack options (original soundtrack and a newly arranged soundtrack) and three difficulty modes.
