SelectaPlay has announced the upcoming release of the 5-Year Anniversary physical edition of Touhou Luna Nights for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. Set to launch on 21st March 2025, this will mark the first time the Metroidvania game will be available on consoles outside of Asia, with both Standard and Special Limited Collector’s Editions planned for Europe and North America. Pre-orders are now open through select retailers.
Developed by Team Ladybug and WSS Playground, and published by PLAYISM, Touhou Luna Nights is a fan fiction Metroidvania based on the Touhou Project – the long-running Japanese media franchise which has spawned a number of games and other multimedia projects over the decades. SelectaPlay will oversee the creation, publishing, and distribution of the physical editions.
The 5-Year Anniversary Standard Edition will include a printed colour manual and a special sleeve, while the Special Limited Collector’s Edition will offer a range of exclusive extras, including a double CD original soundtrack, three alternative inlays, a serialized certificate of authenticity, and a Steel Book case, all packaged in an oversized collector’s box.
Both editions are set for a limited release on 21st March 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
