During the Capcom Online Program at Tokyo Game Show 2024, an extended cut of the latest Monster Hunter Wilds trailer debuted, unveiling the return of Yian Kut-Ku. The Bird Wyvern, absent from recent titles, is seen soaring through the Scarlet Forest, with flocks nesting in the overgrown ruins of the vibrant woodland.
The broadcast also featured an in-depth overview of the Forbidden Lands, led by Alma, the Hunter’s handler. This presentation sets out to highlight key features of Monster Hunter Wilds, including a seamless living world, diverse wildlife, and dynamic weather systems.
Alma also provided insights into how players can navigate the harsh environment, with details on weapon variety, crafting, camp setup, and support from mounts like the Seikret, NPC Support Hunters, and other players.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on 28 February 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Pre-orders are now available, with bonuses including the “Guild Knight Set” layered armour and “Hope Charm” Talisman available to those who pre-order.
