Bandai Namco Europe has announced that Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 7 November 2024. This new version of the long-running rhythm game series will support up to 120 frames per second, marking a first for home consoles. It will also feature exclusive collaborative songs and mini-characters unique to these platforms. Additionally,, a demo of the game is currently available for download across all platforms.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival invites players to explore Omiko City, where the beloved Taiko drumming elements are central to the experience. Players will join Don-chan and Kumo-kyun in several gameplay modes, including a Story mode for a narrative-driven experience, Taiko Land for fun multiplayer modes supporting up to four players, and Dondoko Town for online multiplayer competition. The game features a tracklist of 76 songs out of the box, with confirmed songs including “Gurenge,” “Feel Special”, and “Racing into the Night”. To further expand the musical experience, the Taiko Music Pass, a paid music subscription service, will offer access to a library of more than 700 songs.
Two editions of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will be available:
- Standard Edition – Includes the base game.
- The Setlist Edition – This digital exclusive edition includes the base game along with song collection sets, featuring:
- Anime Songs Collection (9 tracks)
- Pops Collection (14 tracks)
- Vocaloid Songs Collection (9 tracks)
A pre-order bonus is also available for the digital version, which includes the Namco Game Music Pack. This pack features five tracks from classic Namco titles, including “Symphonic Valkyrie,” “Eat’em Up!” (from R4 – Ridge Racer Type 4), “Going to Lunatea” (from Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil), “Boku no→Chikyu” (from Mr. Driller Drill Land), and “The arrow was shot” (from Tales of the Abyss).
