If you have been eagerly awaiting the drop of a trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the third feature film in Paramount Pictures’ adaptation of the iconic video game franchise, your wait is almost over. A new trailer is expected to drop at 11.00pm (AEST) tonight.
Coinciding with this impending launch, light projections themed around the film have been projected onto buildings around the world – featuring imagery of Sonic, Shadow and the classic Robotnik Icon.
Presented by Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Sega Sammy Group, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is being produced by Original Film, Marza Animation Planet, and Blur Studio. The film will be directed by Jeff Fowler, who previously directed the first two Sonic the Hedgehog films.
Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara, and Hitoshi Okuno are confirmed as producers for the project. The executive production team includes Haruki Satomi, Shuji Utsumi, Yukio Sugino, Jeff Fowler, Tommy Gormley, and Tim Miller. The screenplay, crafted by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, is based on a story by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, who have been involved in the franchise’s previous cinematic adaptations.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is set to begin screening worldwide from Boxing Day 2024.
