HoYoverse Launches First Fan Works Contest for Zenless Zone Zero: Drip Fest

Closely following HoYoverse releasing their third major fully-3D RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, in recent days, the company has initiated the game’s first fan works contest, “Drip Fest”. Players worldwide can submit their original works, including graffiti, illustrations, videos, cosplay, and music. The contest is running until 23 August 12:00 (UTC+8) via the Drip Fest official website and HoYoLAB. Participants have the chance to win up to $3,000 along with the grand Golden Bangboo Award trophy.

Drip Fest aims to showcase the talents of the Zenless Zone Zero global community, celebrating their passion for stylish, aesthetic lifestyles and creativity within the New Eridu universe. The contest is open to all players interested in content creation across the five accepted categories mentioned above.

A panel of professional judges from diverse backgrounds will evaluate the submissions, selecting outstanding works and fan favourites. The judging panel includes:

ZEUS40, a graffiti artist from South Italy.

BUNBUN, a Japanese illustrator known for work on light novels including Sword Art Online.

Naji Yanagida, a Japanese illustrator with experience in games like Sangokushi Taisen TCG.

Yamashita RIRI, a Japanese animator known for modern animations such as the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! “Journey” music video.

Myrtle Sarrosa, a Filipino actress, streamer, and cosplayer with multiple awards for cosplay and gaming.

Jorn Heringa, Head of Artist & Repertoire at Spinnin’ Records, who has worked with top-tier musicians including Alok and Don Diablo.

Participants in the contest can win various prizes, including monetary incentives, exclusive merchandise, and in-game rewards. The Masterpiece Award-1st will receive the Golden Bangboo Award, $3,000, a full display series character stand, and 10,000 Polychrome in-game currency.

Zenless Zone Zero is HoYoverse’s latest urban fantasy ARPG, set in a world where a calamity called “Hollows” has destroyed modern society. New Eridu, the last surviving metropolis, has risen amidst the destruction to become the remnant of contemporary civilization. Players take on the role of “Proxy,” exploring Hollows, combating enemies, completing commissions, and uncovering the mysteries of New Eridu alongside unique characters. It is now available as a free-to-play gacha-supported game on the PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android.
