LEGO Horizon Adventures to Introduce Bricks to a PlayStation Flagship

-

With a presence at the Summer Game Fest festivities, Sony interactive Entertainment and LEGO announced a partnership quite unlike anything I would have been expecting. It was announced that a new action-adventure game titled LEGO Horizon Adventures will be released in the Holiday 2024 period, merging the PlayStation’s flagship Horizon franchise with the creative monolith which is LEGO. The game will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5.

Co-developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo, LEGO Horizon Adventures is pitched as a playful and light-hearted story inspired by the events of the world of Horizon. It is set in a future where the land is made of LEGO bricks and incredible dinosaur-like machines roam the Earth. Aloy, the game’s leading hero, is found in a cave as a baby and raised by a grizzled huntsman called Rost, who teaches her the way of the wilds. One day, Aloy embarks on a quest to discover her true destiny. Guided by a thousand-year-old hologram of a scientist called Elisabet, Aloy must confront Helis, the leader of a group of sun worshipers who bow to an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery.

LEGO Horizon Adventures will be playable either solo, or via either local or online co-op. The game, much like other LEGO games in recent years, is developed with seamless two-player action in mind, aiming to provide an opportunity for family and friends to develop connections through collaborative play.

Of course, being a LEGO game, you can expect some unique twists that you might otherwise not find in the mainline Horizon games. For example, you can give the village of Mother’s Heart a makeover, decorating it in delightful ways to unlock unique LEGO buildings and ornaments. Furthermore, you bet you can dish out a variety of outfits to wear on your adventure.
