Are you a PC gamer who has been waiting eagerly for Guerrilla Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s open-world action-RPG Horizon Forbidden West to launch off PlayStation platforms? Your wait is over, with Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition now released for PC.
Six months after the events of Horizon Zero Dawn, machine-hunter Aloy travels to the titular ‘Forbidden West’ to investigate the source of a mysterious blight that ravages the remnants of humanity. In this uncharted lands, she will meet new tribes, face against new colossal machines, and unite with both old allies and new friends to find the answers she seeks – and hopefully save life on earth.
The PC version of the game enhances player experience with features such as unlocked frame rates, support for ultra-wide resolutions up to 48:9, and performance technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 3 for AI-powered upscaling and frame generation. It also includes NVIDIA DLAA for image quality, NVIDIA Reflex for reduced latency, and supports upscaling technologies from Intel and AMD. Nixxes, the development team responsible for this PC port, is also planning an update to introduce AMD FSR 3 with frame generation.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition aims to cater to a broad range of PC hardware through adjustable graphics presets and customizable settings, hopefully ensuring that both high-end and less powerful PCs can offer a fulfilling gaming experience. With Steam reporting Very Positive ratings on Steam, hopefully this is a sign that they have nailed the balance and systems behind graphical fidelity and performance.
Horizon Forbidden West is now available to download digitally on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $94.95 AUD or local equivalent.
