The War of the Underworld in SAO Game Canon Continues – Sword Art Online Last Recollection Now Available

Following their range of other Sword Art Online video game adaptations over the years, Bandai Namco Entertainment and the development team at Aquria have released Sword Art Online: Last Recollection onto the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC (via Steam).

This new addition to the Sword Art Online video game chronology introduces an original War of Underworld story arc. In this narrative, players will accompany Kirito and his large group of allies in a virtual realm nearing its end. With Kirito’s inspiring leadership, the team aims to challenge and overcome the formidable ruler of the Dark Territory, known as the God of Darkness Vecta. While this arc unfolded in the original light novels by Reki Kawahara and the TV anime by A-1 Pictures, this is a unique twist on the War of Underworld arc, featuring new events, a much wider cast of characters and more.

Sword Art Online: Last Recollection seeks to offer players the chance to engage in dynamic battles, allowing them to switch between their preferred characters seamlessly. The battle system emphasizes teamwork, enabling players to instruct their squad to undertake various roles such as attacking, defending, healing, and employing other tactical manoeuvres to secure victory.

For those not sure whether Sword Art Online: Last Recollection is for them, a demo version with a snippet of the game is now available to download across all three platform’s respective digital distribution platforms.
