During the Capcom Showcase earlier today, viewers were treated to their first look at Pragmata in quite some time. The game, scheduled to release this year, received a trailer little more than a minute in length, focusing on cutscenes with a few snippets of what appears to be gameplay, and continues to present what appears to be a rather enticing sci-fi world.
Unfortunately with this release, came the kicker. While thankfully not cancelled as some might have expected, Pragmata has instead seen its launch window withdrawn and the game itself postponed. According to the Pragmata development team:
To all our expectant fans,
It is with a heavy heart that we must further postpone the release of Pragmata.
Our team is currently hard at work making the best game that we possibly can, but we need more time.
We will continue to do our best to ensure that the final product is one that is worthy of your patience.
Thank you for your continued support.
While it is a shame to see the game delayed even further, it is refreshing in an era where “AAA” can sometimes be pushed out unfinished, that the developers are being given the time to make the final product meet their vision.
Pragmata is currently in development for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
