Following its earlier release on the Windows PC and Nintendo Switch, PM Studios and Isolation Studios has confirmed their narrative-driven game Goodbye World will be releasing on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S starting 30 June 2023.
The narrative of “Goodbye World” revolves around two friends and aspiring game developers who navigate the realities and challenges of the indie game industry. Players assume the roles of Kanii, a games programmer, and Kumade, a graphics artist, both of whom met in college. Despite their passion and effort in creating unique products, the duo struggles to achieve significant game sales. Consequently, they resort to part-time jobs to sustain themselves financially.

Players should go into Goodbye World expecting a story-rich story told through 13 chapters, seeking to provide players with an immersive look at the personal and professional lives of the main characters as they strive to create a successful product amidst financial struggles.
Goodbye World also features BLOCKS, a game-within-a-game which provide 12 stages of a puzzle platformer that Kanii, one of the main characters, plays. In “BLOCKS” cute animal-like characters break and pile up “block” with retro elements reflected in the controls and music. As the main story progresses, the player will discover the secrets of “BLOCKS”. And on the note of retro elements, can we admire just how beautiful the game looks!
Earlier this year, the developers revealed plans for an exclusive physical edition of Goodbye World for PlayStation and Switch. Details about this special edition, along with instructions for placing orders, can be found on the VGP website for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
