Say Goodbye to the Year of the Mouse in Final Fantasy XIV

Every year at the start of January, the citizens of Eorzea partake in the celebration of Heavensturn. Final Fantasy XIV’s equivalent to New Year’s celebrations, the festivities combine western New Year’s festivities with the well-known zodiac, adapting it into a form of Eorzean lore. For players, each festival gives them the chance to acquire a helmet based on the animal of the year – in 2020’s case – The Year of the Mouse (or Rat).

If you missed out the opportunity to nab this helmet for yourself, pictured above, you can now purchase it for real life money via the Final Fantasy XIV Online Store. There are two versions of the helmet – Crimson (Red) and Cobalt (Blue) – which can be purchased for 2.10 Euro (or local equivalent) each. Furthermore, for those who are looking to decorate their player housing, the Authentic Heavensturn Bounty decorative item can be bought for 3.50 Euro apiece.
