Following its earlier release on the Nintendo Switch back in November 2019, developer Playful Studios has confirmed that they will be releasing New Super Lucky’s Tale on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles later in 2020. For those not aware, this is an enhanced version of the original 3D platformer Super Lucky’s Tale, first made available on the Xbox One X in 2017.
New Super Lucky’s Tale bills itself as a “love letter to classic 3D platformers“, taking players through numerous worlds full of tasks to complete, collectables to nab, and puzzles to jump, burrow and tail swipe your way through. Players take control of the titular fox, Lucky, who embarks on a journey through the Book of Ages, a magical artifact which opens doors to amazing worlds.
Promoted features of the game include:
- Featuring a huge variety of gameplay, from expansive 3D hubs, to story-based adventure levels, 2D side-scrolling challenges, rewarding mini-games, mind-bending puzzles, and thrilling boss battles.

Developed by Playful Studios, New Super Lucky’s Tale will be available on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
