Denneko Yuugi’s Magical Action RPG ‘Machina of the Planet Tree – Unity Unions – Releases on Steam This Week

During Anime Expo 2019, Machina of the Planet Tree – Unity Unions – from the development team at Denneko Yuugi was one of the titles confirmed to be published by Sekai Project in the near future. That near future has been confirmed as this week, with the game confirmed to arrive on Steam on Friday 15 May 2020 exclusively for the PC.

Unity Unions is the second game from the studio, which also serves as a sequel to it – ‘Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler’ which currently has a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam Reviews. The game will be available to purchase at a recommended retail price of $18.99 USD, with a 10% discount ($17.09) available during its first week of launch.

Following the events of the first game, the story follows protagonist Corona Megistos (Voiced by Eri Tojo). She is a young girl who comes from a family of gemstone magicians. While out training, a chance encounter causes her to come into contact with the core of the Machina, Arcturus. His appearance is a sign that the peace the world has enjoyed is in danger as the seal on a great evil begins to weaken. With the world in danger, the novice gemstone magician departs on a journey with Arcturus to hone her powers and prevent the return of Nova.

Machina of the Planet Tree – Unity Unions – features “Magic casting style action RPG” gameplay mechanics, featuring active combat within a 3D world. This is in stark contrast to the more retro 2D battle system of the previous instalment. It features a total of 16 main missions, in addition to a number of bonus missions, and offers partial Japanese voice acting throughout the narrative and gameplay.
