Fast & Furious 9 is not the only thing that fans of the Fast & Furious media franchise have to look forward next year. In a rather surprising announcement, it was confirmed that Bandai Namco Entertainment, Universal Games and Digital Platforms, and developer Slightly Mad Studios are in the middle of development of Fast & Furious Crossroads for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms. Described as a “team-based vehicular-heist action game” providing a new chapter in the Fast & Furious universe, you will be able to pick up this game in May 2020.
Featuring what they claim is “an authentic storyline, and packed with heroes, gadgets, cars and non-stop cinematic-style action“, it has been confirmed that Fast & Furious Crossroads will offer both a single-player campaign and an unspecified multiplayer mode.
Fast & Furious Crossroads will see at least Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriquez and Tyrese Gibson reprise their roles as Dom, Letty and Roman respectively. Sonequa Martin-Green and Asia Kate Dillon are also confirmed to have roles as currently unspecified characters.
While specifics are limited at this time, expect to hear more from the developers and publishers in the coming months.
