With hopefully more copies available for purchase than they did with their Limited Edition collection for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced special Prince and King editions for their upcoming sequel, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. In total, there will be four different sets on offer for the PlayStation 4 and three for the Windows PC. You can read through each of them below:
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition for the PC will be digital only. On the other hand, the physical Standard Edition on the PlayStation 4 will come with “postcards”.
Steelbook Edition
Available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 as a physical release, this edition comes with a copy of the Full Game in addition to an exclusive SteelBook.
Prince’s Edition
Starting to offer more goodies, the Prince’s Edition for the PlayStation 4 will come with a bonus “Making-of Ni no Kuni II” Blu-ray disc titled The Kingmakers, which Bandai Namco claims will help players “discover the hidden secrets of the game design and development”. This edition also offers a SteelBook case and season pass.
A Digital Prince’s Edition will also be offered, although this will only come with a season pass.
King’s Edition
The most expensive collection, and physical-exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and PC. In addition to all the goodies on offer in the Prince’s Edition, this set also offers:
- The Sound of Ni no Kuni II: A vinyl record featuring the Joe Hisaishi composed main theme.
- The Evolution of a King: A diorama figure, a 20cm tall rotating music box which also plays the game’s main theme.
- The Art of Ni no Kuni II: An exclusive, 148-page artbook featuring concept artwork from both Momose-san and Level 5
The Season Pass
While further details have yet to be confirmed, the Season Pass for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is set to feature 2 pieces of additional content.
Developed by Level-5 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC from January 19th 2018.
