Begin Hunting Demons Once Again in Toukiden 2 in March

Providing confirm of when and on what platform their demon-hunting RPG Toukiden 2 will be available through – video game publisher Koei Tecmo have confirmed the game will be available from March 24 2017 on the PlayStation 4 in Australia, in addition to the PC and PlayStation Vita depending on your region.

Toukiden 2 takes place following an event known as the Awakening – a time when Oni ravaged the world and left it in ruins. A group known as slayers, also considered to be the defenders of mankind, set out to defend the city of Yokohama from the demonic onslaught. In the midst of their fierce battle, a giant demon emerged, and opened a portal that swallowed a lone Slayer – your player character.. Ten years later, and with no memory of the past, that Slayer awakens in Mahoroba Village.

Accompanied by his allies who include Hakase (a professor keen to learn the truth of the world), Gwen (a young British slayer), Benzuki (a kind-hearted lad who is also considered to be the strongest slayer in town) and Homura (an ex-thief, turned spy) – the protagonist must go up against another Oni threat, only with the aid of new technology from the professor. Slayers use a device known as the “Demon Hand” in battle, which creates a physical manifestation of their thoughts. With combat and exploration capabilities, this can be used to crush enemies and environmental hazards alike.

This release date and console announcement was complemented by the above trailer, in addition to the screenshots below, which seek to highlight the Demon Hand device, the village of Mahoroba, and introduce some of the characters who will aid you on your quest.
