NIS America Release Yomawari: Night Alone on Steam, Offer Bundles With htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary

With options for both portable console and PC gamers, Nippon Ichi Software America have released their horror adventure game Yomawari: Night Alone on the PlayStation Vita and Steam simultaneously. Depending of what edition of the game you buy, you might be eligible for a complementary copy of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, another adventure game published by the company in recent years.

Yomawari: Night Alone is an isometric survival horror game which will see players exploring a nightmarish world. Players take control of a young girl who is left travelling through a dark, eerie and unfamiliar version of her town while searching for her sister and dog. But while doing this, she must avoid being caught by spirits through stealth and carefully traversing a number of landmarks in the town – including a run-down school, vacant factory and graveyards.

Coinciding with their release of Yomawari: Night Alone, Nippon Ichi Software America have also begun offering new items for htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary via Steam, which may be of interest to newcomers of both titles. First off, they are offering a standalone Digital Art Book ($4.99) and Digital Soundtrack ($4.99). Those after a digital copy of Yomawari: Night Alone as well can also nab themselves a two-game pack ($25.40 as of writing) or a Limited Edition ($33.89 as of writing).

About Yomawari: Night Alone

A young girl is walking her dog Poro around town at dusk when a tragic accident forces her to return home with only Poro’s leash in hand. The girl’s sister commands her to stay home while she goes out into the night to search for the dog. Time passes. Growing impatient, the girl decides to search for her missing sister and dog herself. 

But when she steps foot outside, she realizes that this is not the same town. The darkness has made the town unfamiliar, and she appears to be utterly alone…save for the spirits that stalk her. The girl must hide from, outsmart, or outrun the hunting spirits while she searches for clues to find her loved ones.

At the bottom of an old ruin, a young girl named Mion awakens with no memory of how she arrived at this dreadful place. Guided by two fireflies, Mion must solve puzzles, outwit monsters, and avoid traps to escape the darkness!

In htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, you will guide Mion’s escape from her dark confines by controlling two fireflies—Lumen and Umbra. Direct Mion’s movements as Lumen, and destroy obstacles as the shadowy Umbra. Untold mysteries await as you guide Mion to the surface, overcoming traps and puzzles along the way. But be warned— the shadows are never far, and they’re always hungry…
