While the Touhou media franchise has been embraced and enjoyed by those in Japan for many years now, and has a sizable fanbase in western markets as well, we haven’t really had much option when it comes to buying officially licensed games based on this franchise. This is all set to change over the next couple of years, with publishers lining up several games based on the franchise for consoles. One of these publishers is Nippon Ichi Software America, who is set to launch Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet on the PlayStation 4 very soon.
Whether it is introducing characters to potential gamers for the very first time or just highlighting their roles in the game to those well versed in everything Touhou, Nippon Ichi Software America recently kicked off their character trailer series for Touou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet. Following their trailer featuring Flandre in the early days of last month, they have now shifted their addition to Yukari Yakumo.
Yukari Yakumo is described as the “Yokai that Lurks on the Boundaries”. She is one of the oldest living yokais in Gensokyo, and is known for suddenly appearing out of nowhere. The phenomenon that humans refer to as being “spirited away” is said to be caused when Yukari causes the boundaries to fluctuate.
With a chance that no all characters will receive their own dedicated character trailers, Nippon Ichi Software America are set to release Touhou Genso Rondo Bullet Ballet on the PlayStation 4 from tomorrow in North America and September 9th in PAL Regions.
