On June 7 2011, Nintendo first began distributing digital games on the Nintendo 3DS through the Nintendo eShop. With the service’s fifth anniversary having just passed us, the company have decided to mark its half-decade anniversary with a sale.

Starting from later today, a select range of download-exclusive titles on the 3DS and Wii U will be available at up to 50% off in Australia and New Zealand. This sale will be run until June 23rd, covering both first and third party titles.

Fans of the Legend of Zelda series for example will be able to nab themselves a discount for classic Link adventures including Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. Although it doesn’t cover the original trio of games, Pokemon fans will also be able to take advantage of special pricing for Pokemon 3D Pro and Pokemon Trading Card Game.

While pricing is not yet confirmed, you can look at the full range of discounted games via the Nintendo Australia website.
