Plan to pick yourself up a copy of Koei Tecmo’s upcoming action game A.O.T. Wings of Freedom on the PlayStation 4? The publisher have recently confirmed they will be offering a special “Treasure Box” limited edition of the title through select video game trailers. Packed with exclusive content, the Treasure Box edition will be available simultaneously when the game launches on August 26th, and will only be available on the PlayStation 4. Those who wish to purchase an Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita or Windows PC version of the game will only be able to pick up a Standard or Standard Digital set at this time.

In addition to a copy of A.O.T. Wings of Freedom, this Treasure Box edition includes a number of goodies such as:

  • Official Scouting Report: An artbook which showcases the characters, weapons and environments present in-game. It also plans to offer an insight into various parts of the title.
  • Muffler Towel: Features a design including Eren, Mikasa and Levi.
  • 6 Pin Badges: The three lead character will feature on these pins, with two different designs for each character. Eren appears in both his human and titan form, Levi appears in both his heroic stance and cleaning clothes, while Mikasa appears in two different fighting stances.
  • Original Game Soundtrack: Number of tracks undetermined.
  • DLC Code: Unlocks an alternate costume for Armin, based on Attack on Titan: Junior High

Koei Tecmo Europe have also announced that two different downloadable costume sets will be offered to those who pre-order the standard version of A.O.T. Wings of Freedom at select retailers. Those who purchase from some game stores will receive the Cleaner’s Weapon and Costume for Eren and Levi, allowing them to showcase Levi’s love of cleaning. Those who pre-order from other stores will obtain the Mikasa Festival Costume. If you are someone pre-ordering through the PlayStation Store, you will receive a selection of character avatars featuring Eren, Levi and Mikasa. Screenshots of these can be found below:

New Trailers

Koei Tecmo Europe have also shared a number of new screenshots and trailers which showcase the game’s main heroes and the fearsome Titans they (and in turn, you) will have to overcome.

The first trailer (above) is the first in a series of videos focusing on the A.O.T. Wings of Freedom battle system. Of particular focus in this video is the use of the Omni-Directional Mobility Gear (ODM), a key piece of equipment within the Attack on Titan universe. The ODM, which allows its wearers to quickly traverse their environment, will gradually run out of gas. Not only do gas levels deplete, but the blades used to fight the titans will also wear down. Replacing your gas and blades is an important tactic to ensure you have enough steam to slay a titan. Using the ODM to latch on to titans, players will be able to aim at which limb they wish to attack. For the finishing move players will want to aim for the nape of the Titan’s neck, their critical weak spot!

Battling these giants can be a daunting task, so up to four playable characters can be recruited to fight as a team, offering different ways to slay the oncoming Titans. The focus of the second battle system video (above) is teamwork, and how being a lone wolf might not always be the best strategy.

The final three videos, available below, each focus on a different main character:

Character Trailer #1 – Levi

Character Trailer #2 – Mikasa

Character Trailer #3 – Erin
