Earlier this month it was announced by Nippon Ichi Software America that the North American release of Grand Kingdom would include all of the Japanese downloadable content on-disc at no extra charge. This means that players won’t have to fork out any additional cash to recruit characters who are part of the Archer, Dark Knight, Noble, Paladin and Valkyrie classes. You can read more about this offer in my earlier post.
But this hasn’t excluded NIS America from offering other forms of downloadable content to players. The western publisher has confirmed that early adopters of Grand Kingdom at launch will be able to download the Lord’s Set Bundle for free from the PlayStation Store during its first week of release. Of course, there might not be anything stopping players from just downloading the content regardless of if they own the game or not.
The Lord’s Set Bundle will include the following:
- Lord Glory – a uniquely noble sword for melee mercenaries
- Lord Keeper – a uniquely noble shield for melee classes to carry to battle
- Cliff Piece – a custom map piece to represent the player’s team
- Crown Squad Flag – a unique squad flag to identify early adopters in battle
Grand Kingdom will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in PAL regions beginning June 17th. A North American edition will follow a few days later on June 21st.
