While the most recent Batman: Arkham video game, Batman: Arkham Knight, was released on current generation consoles, its 2009 and 2011 predecessors have only been made available on the platforms of their time. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have confirmed their plans to release Batman: Return to Arkham.
Batman: Return to Arkham is a remastered collection of the Rocksteady Studios developed Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, which will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning July 27th 2016. Being remastered by Virtuos, this game is being created using Unreal Engine 4, a first for the Batman: Arkham series.
