Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness has now been released in Japan, and it is clear that publisher Square Enix are putting a lot more of their attention towards the game in western markets now. The company have today shared three new trailers for their sci-fi RPG, focusing on the game’s battle system and two more of its main characters.
In previous Star Ocean titles, battles have generally involved three to four characters on the field at one time. Increasing that maximum number by 50%, players can have six characters enter the fray, allowing for a busier battle against hopefully more powerful enemies. Players must strategise with characters, battle roles and skills in order to keep their edge in combat.
In addition to the above trailer, Square Enix have also shared character spotlight videos for playable characters Fiore Brunelli and Victor Oakville . Both of these can be found below. Square Enix have previously released character spotlight videos for the protagonists Fidel Camuze and Miki Sauvester.
Developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix, Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will be available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 starting late-June 2016 in North America and 1st July 2016 in Australia and New Zealand. Orders are now being taken via select video game stores.
