Do you consider yourself a skilled Dark Souls player and think you can dash your way through Dark Souls III with only a few weeks to practice? Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia have announced they are hosting The Dark Souls III Speed Run Competition for gamers in Australia and New Zealand. As its title suggests, the goal of this contest is to finish the game in the fastest time possible from start to finish. The individual who posts the quickest time from launch until Tuesday May 10th 2016 will earn themselves $10,000 in cash.
To enter, first of all you will need to own a copy of Dark Souls III on either the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC. After you complete your ‘Speed Run’, you have to post your time on the Bandai Namco Facebook Page. Of course, as I doubt Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia would believe a speed run of just one hour, you will also need to upload or stream the entire run to a Twitch account, using the hash tag #DS310KSpeedRun.
The Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia Facebook page will be regularly updated with a table of the top competitors, allowing entrants and fans alike to compare their styles of play, methods and tricks with others. Of course… this could also be a means of preparing for your own Speed Run.
Full terms and conditions of this competition will be available on the Bandai Namco Entertainment Australia Facebook page starting 12 April 2016.
