PixlBit Studios to Launch First Game, PixlCross, This Week

-

logo-800x800_resultAfter recently receiving final release approval from Nintendo, the new video game development studio PixlBit Studios have confirmed the release date of their very first title – PixlCross. To be available exclusively on the Wii U at least for now, the nonogram-style puzzle game will be available for purchase via the Nintendo eShop starting March 31st 2016 at a price of $5.99.

Described as being “like Picross”, PixlCross has players leverage hints to fill in a grid and reveal a hidden picture. The game features more than 150 puzzles across four levels of difficulty, with players starting at grids 5×5 and progressively moving up to grids as large as 35×35. Each card does have autosave functionality however, so you can tackle any of them at your leisure.

PixlBit Studios have announced that, following their initial reveal of PixlCross, there have been some changes made to some of the game’s additional functionality. For example, after creating a puzzle using the robust puzzle editing tool, players can now share an ID code on Miiverse and other social media channels that will allow friends, family and fellow players to easily download their creations. Additionally, PixlCross now lets players track the popularity of their shared puzzles. This update also provides streamlined menus.

For those without a Wii U, it will not be possible to pick up this game just yet. However they do have a Steam Greenlight campaign ongoing which you can view HERE. If this is something you might be interested in, lodge a vote.
