Ubisoft Celebrate Strong Download Total of Grow Home on PlayStation 4 1

Although this should not come as a particularly surprising announcement given that the game launched on the platform as a free download for PlayStation Plus members, Ubisoft have announced that Grow Home has been their fastest downloaded game on PlayStation consoles to date.  From launch until September 15 2015, Grow Home has been downloaded over two million times.

Grow Home is an experimental climbing adventure game developed by Ubisoft Reflections, first released on the Windows PC earlier this year and recently made available on the PlayStation 4. This game gives players the ability to explore a strange open world full of floating islands, caves and waterfalls. Players take on the role of BUD (Botanical Utility Droid), an excitable child-like robot who is sent on a quest to search the galaxy for a new species of plant that can save his home world.

One reason why downloads have been strong for Grow Home is that it was chosen as the winner for Sony Computer Entertainment’s inaugural ‘Vote to Play’ program, which made the game available via the Instant Game Collection for all PlayStation Plus members to enjoy.

Pete Young | Producer of Grow Home at Ubisoft Reflections

We are thrilled that BUD has found a new home in the PS4 community. Grow Home was a great opportunity for our team to experiment and develop new technology and have fun at the same time.
