Koei Tecmo and Nintendo have announced that Hyrule Warriors Legends, a Nintendo 3DS remake of the 2014 ‘The Legend of Zelda’ action hack-and-slash video game Hyrule Warriors, is set for release in Japan beginning January 21st 2016.
Announced by Nintendo during their E3 2015 livestream, this port from the Wii U to Nintendo 3DS is set to feature content from the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors, in addition to new characters from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker including Toon Link, Tetra and The King of Hyrule. Other features include the ability to switch between characters on the fly, the ability to strategically position characters and more. My only concern is what sacrifices, if any, had to be made in the transition from the Wii U to Nintendo 3DS.
No international release date has been announced outside of Japan at this moment, but Nintendo have previously listed a Q1 2016 launch window.
