The team at Bandai Namco Entertainment have released their first character trailer for Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, their upcoming English-localised (and dubbed) JRPG which is set to launch on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as of Early 2016.
This mostly narrated 2 minute 48 second video sets the scene for the game’s storyline, featuring narration by the character Kyoko Kuremi – who calls herself a Cyber Detective. This trailer primarily focuses on in-game cinematics and animated cutscenes, providing no look at gameplay.
Having not watched or really followed the Digimon franchise since the original anime tetralogy (Adventure, Adventure 2, Tamers and Frontier), this certainly seems like a more sophisticated and mature game compared to other titles in the franchise.
Developed by Media Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in western markets, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is set for release sometime in Early 2016.
