One of the staple gameplay elements of any Fallout video game is the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agilty, Luck) system, which defines a character’s base attributes for the game ahead. Are they strong but not that lucky? Are they intelligent and perceptive but aren’t that sociable? Depending on where players distribute the limited number of points they are given, the best approach to tackling a challenge can potentially change.
Last week, the team at Bethesda Softworks announced they would be sharing a series of mini-trailers surrounding the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. These videos will provide some in-universe Vault-Tec charm, as this educational video series seeks to help others understand the seven defining attributes that make them S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
This second video focuses on Perception, which grants your custom character improved accuracy when using the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (VATS) and other benefits.
Developed by Bethesda Game Studios, Fallout 4 is set for release on current generation gaming platforms (PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) beginning November 10 2015.
