As some would already know, Yoshi’s Woolly World is set to have a few special Amiibo figures released for it, with each coloured figure featuring a distinct woolen texture and design. These figures in my opinion are dangerously adorable, and I look forward to adding them to my (currently) small collection of amiibo figures. However news today has revealed that these special Yoshi amiibo’s will not be the only ones supported in the upcoming Wii U exclusive release of Yoshi’s Woolly World.
A new trailer from Nintendo is encouraging everyone to use their Amiibo’s to unlock special Yoshi designs for use in-game. As highlighted in the video, special designs can be unlocked for Link, Donkey Kong, Mario and presumably other select first and third party characters which have received figures since distribution began last year.
Yoshi’s Woolly World is set for release in Australia starting June 25th 2015. Blue, Pink and Green Woolen Yoshi amiibo’s are also set for launch simultaneously.
