Blade & Soul to Be Available Free-to-Play in International Market

After a few years of inactivity with regards to the MMORPG (Although never removing it off their games list), NCSoft have confirmed that the martial arts MMORPG Blade & Soul will be released in Western markets during Winter 2015/2016 (Summer 2015/2016 in the Southern Hemisphere). This game will be available in English, French and German; meaning even more players will be able to access this one version.

Blade & Soul is an action-based martial arts MMORPG set in a fantastical Ancient Eastern world, with a story of revenge and vengeance that follows traditional wuxia literature. You’ll be battling enemies with a strategic- and combo-based combat style and channeling your inner chi to perform supernatural Windwalking abilities such as gliding through the air, running across water, and sprinting up walls.

Closed Beta testing for Blade & Soul will begin later this year, with more information to be rolled out over the coming weeks and months. As Blade & Soul is an online game I have been interested in for quite a few years now, am personally excited they finally made the announcement.

The company also held an almost 1 hour 20 minute long livestream a few days ago regarding the game, where they showed off some pre-alpha gameplay and answered fan questions. While I encourage you to watch the video for all the details if interested, some highlights include a confirmation that there will be: a) No fatigue system similar to the Chinese server and b) There is no in-game censorship at this point in time.
