Two MMORPG’s that need to be released ASAP…. or at least Captured my Interest

-

It has been ages since I have sat down and played an online game, at least not for around six months now. Granado Espada has been the only game to tide me over the last couple of years…. a few years more then I would have expected, however I think I may have thrown down the gauntlet and dropped even that title. Some non-English MMORPG’s have caught my eye over the last few years such as Yogurting and Divina Online have casually caught my eye, but not lasted that long (Either due to the language-barrier or being region locked out of a game). However, recently there have been two games that have caught my eye, one with an already planned English release and one with an assumed English release. I would like to share these with you now:

Blade & Soul

This game is being developed by Team Bloodlust and is due out in South Korea at the end of this year, being published by NCSoft. I will let the trailer do the talking on the rather active gameplay, however it involves a total of four races, eight or more classes and somehow I think I will be needing a new computer to play it. There is also a few gameplay videos which includes an extended trailer [HERE], and some fan-recorded videos such as a Character Creation video [HERE] and some gameplay videos such as the one [HERE]. The official english website, if you could call it that, can be found [HERE] and due to a possible agreement with Sony, this title may even come to the Playstation 3.

TERA Online

This title actually came to my attention through Sankaku Complex, who described it in an article title as “Sexiest MMORPG Yet” and judging from some of the images, the designs are definately that, but also appear quite detailed in terms of both character and environment designs. Whilst I am not sure if the battle system looks as interesting as Blade&Soul online, it is definately something I shall be keeping my eye on. There is a HUGE stash of preview videos on the official English website [HERE] and there are varied character development videos from other versions such as the one [HERE] and gameplay videos from beta tests [HERE]. The official website can be found [HERE]
