ATLUS USA, NIS America to Publish Turn-Based Tactical RPG ‘Lost Dimension’ Internationally

-

ATLUS USA and Nippon Ichi Software America have announced that they will be publishing the Turn-Based Tactical JRPG ‘Lost Dimension’ in North American and PAL region markets respectively. Developed by the Japanese development studio Lancarse, this game will see you follow 11 psychically gifted warriors who are the only ones capable of taking down an extraterrestrial being known as “The End”. However as the protagonist with an ability to see psychic visions, it begins becoming clear that not all your allies are exactly on your side – with some possibly being traitors.

To subdue the threat The End poses to the entire planet, several countries create a special forces group called SEALED, which is comprised of eleven psychics with superhuman abilities. Each soldier has their own talents and skillsets to use in combat, which can be expanded after gaining enough experience in the field. Bonds of friendship will form amongst the members of SEALED, but be mindful of which allies to keep close, as The End mandates the player must begin eliminating teammates.  Make sure to accuse the right teammate of being a traitor though – once the final battle with The End begins any remaining traitors will fight the main character alongside him.

This “Traitor” system is designed to keep the game spoiler free, as each New Game will completely randomize who are friends and who are traitors. This is completely opposite to a game like Danganronpa which retains the exact same victims and culprits with each playthrough. But with each character having each their own unique abilities, from a girl who controls molecular behavior to burn/freeze anything in her path to a guy who can steal everyone else’s powers, it means that the final boss battle will also be different each time around.

Lost Dimension is set for release on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita (With PS TV support) later this year at a retail price of around $39.99 USD. For a closer look at the game, some additional screenshots can be found below:
