Koei Tecmo Europe have this evening shared a new set of screenshots for their upcoming hack “n” slash Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, which focus on three particular elements to the game – Edit Mode, Custom Scenarios and battles in general. In addition to the screenshots which can be found at the bottom of this article, they have also shared some further details about what to expect from these gameplay elements if you decide to purchase DW8E from February 27th 2015.
Edit Mode is one of the defining elements which separates an “Empires” game from any other instalment in a numbered set of Dynasty Warriors video games. This mode will once again allow you to create original characters from figments of your imagination, and bring them into the Three Kingdoms world. As always, it will be possible to edit your characters through an array of hairstyles, clothing, accessories, weapons and body modification options (Such as size, face style etc). But this time around you can also edit allied soldiers, warhorses, banners and more.
These features are complemented by the ability to edit the maps used in the scenarios, allowing you the freedom to make entirely new scenarios of your own design. In addition to being able to set the locations and rulers/officers of each kingdom, you can also create your own title and introduction to the scenario which will hopefully provide more immersion in your custom experience.
Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires is set for release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox One platforms. The game will be distributed by Mindscape in Australia.
