After a considerable hiatus, ATLUS are finally set to release their Nintendo 3DS port of Devil Survivor 2 in Japan starting January 29th 2015. Titled Devil Survivor 2: Break Record, this edition is set to feature many improvements present in the Overclocked edition of Devil Survivor including full voice acting and brand new storyline additions. The latest preview trailer for the game highlights some of the storyline events, characters and brand new animated events that players will be able to dive into once they begin playing.
Rather than simply tacking on an extra day to the end of the current campaign, ATLUS are set to feature a brand new storyline which takes place after the events of Devil Survivor 2 and can be played completely standalone from the main game. This new campaign features Miyako Hotsuin, the sister of JP’s leader Yamato Hotsuin. In addition to the above preview trailer which only mentions the new character, ATLUS have also shared two new character trailers highlighting the brother and sister duo. These can both be found below.
No international release plans for Devil Survivor 2: Break Record have been confirmed by ATLUS USA at this point in time. It is very likely that an announcement will be made sometime in the future however, with most recent Megami Tensei games receiving an international release of some form.
