Plantago Games, Awesome Japan and a group of Japanese video game developers with plenty of accolades under their belt have announced a new JRPG project by the name Soul Knights. This strategy JRPG with visuals reminiscent of Disgaea games is currently in development for smartphone platforms, with plans for PC and console support set aside for additional funding targets.
To make this happen, the development team have launched a KickStarter campaign with the goal of acquiring $60,000 in crowdfunding for the base game. Additional Stretch Goals go all the way up to $500,000 (Console Development).Members of the development team include

- Noizi Ito (Illustrator) – The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Lemm (Sound Creator) – Battle Princess of Arcadias
