Screen Australia Extend Games Production Program to Year-Round Applications

-

Citing an overwhelming response to their July 2013 application round, Screen Australia have confirmed that they are transforming their Games Production funding program from a deadline-based program to one where applications can be submitted to the agency at any time. Personally, I applaud this decision from Screen Australia, given the rapidly evolving video games industry where new ideas are born each and every day.

To assist with these applications, Screen Australia will be enlisting the aid of a number of big names in the industry as external industry assessors for 2014. These individuals include Alex Hutchinson (Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal), Sarah Van Rompaey (Founder of Lady Shotgun Games, former Senior Producer on the Tomb Raider franchise), Morgan Jaffit (Founder of Defiant Development) and Simon Joslin (Co-founder of The Voxel Agents).

Those interested in receiving funding under the Interactive Games Fund in terms of “Games Production” should check out its information page HERE.
