Granted it will most probably never 100% compete against the used-game market, in order for digital services such as the PlayStation Store to remain viable it is important that publishers regularly amend their prices (or offer special DLC content) to maintain value for money from digital sales.
Nippon Ichi Software America have today announced that six of their 2012 / 2013 video game releases have received a $10 price drop from today on the PlayStation Store. These titles, all of which have been reviewed on The Otaku’s Study previously, include:
Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness – $49.99 –> $39.99
The Guided Fate Paradox – $49.99 –> $39.99
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory – $39.99 –> $29.99
Mugen Souls – $29.99 –> $19.99
Clan of Champions – $29.99 –> $19.99
Legasista – $29.99 –> $19.99
At this point in time these discounts only apply to the North American PlayStation Store. However I encourage everyone to check out what is on offer via their PS Stores for any potential discounts.
